The most amazing thing about this two disc set are the demos (disc-2). It's one thing to hear how a band was coaxed into pumping up a group of songs to their peak, It is a very rare thing indeed to hear a collection of songs that were dummied down, or simplified (proficiency not withstanding) to appeal to a curtain audience. Here you get to hear both so you can be the judge. This is a damned good two disc set and a mighty fine purchase, but I believe that only someone who is schooled in Big Country can fully appreciate and respect it.
