I really enjoyed reading this book. Yes, this is a book focused on mindful living. Yes, this book has a lot of generalities. And if you understand mindfulness you will understand the brilliance within this book. It has helped me to take my mindful living to a higher level. I am looking at my home, each room within my home, and the spaces within and outside of my home in a new light. I had started to declutter my life and home before reading this book and found that this book has helped me tremendously. A cluttered home truly is a cluttered mind.To clarify, this is not a "how to" book per se. It does offer many principles for living a mindful lifestyle and generalizes informal and formal mindful practices to the home environment. I am now able to have a better sense of how colour, light, space, objects within my home, and so on might affect one's perception of my living space. I enjoyed how the author's focused the content of the book on the 5 human senses and 5 key living spaces. A good read, to be used in conjunction with a desire for a more mindful lifestyle.
